Mission
It is our mission to provide the most professional representation possible both on and
off the track of our team and its sponsors and to use our racing success to enhance the
lives of the Children in the Jims Kid`s Charity program and to promote the sport of
motorcycle roadracing both here at home in central North Carolina and nationally.
History
Dalke Motorsports, based in Asheboro, NC, started as B&S Roadracing
in 1996 and entered the WERA Endurance series in 2000.Finishing 3rd in the
Mediumweight Superstock class in 2000 and again in 2004. In 2005 the team
was relaunched as Dalke Motorsports with and won the 2005 WERA National
Endurance Mediumweight Superstock Championship in convincing style.
By winning 7 of 11 races and finishing 2nd in 3 the teams only non-podium
race was a 4th place in the opening event. The team clinched the championship
with a win in the dark at Nelson Ledges and finshed the season with a win at
the WERA Grand National Finals at RoadAtlanta.
In 2006 the team won several races but suffered a few set-backs with new
equipment. The championship still came down the the last race of the
series and Dalke Motorsports entered a second team to try retain the title.
The teams finsished 2nd and 3rd, and Dalke just missed the championship.
Dalke Motorsports is also actively involved in the local community
by participating in charity rallies for handicapped kids, parades and
community shows Where we have raised thousands of dollars for the handicapped
kids and given away over 2000 team posters. Our passion for motorcycle road
racing and desire to grow the sport is the reason we have promoted several
track days at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC. These track days
are open to racers and street-licensed sport riders and give us the perfect
opportunity to showcase our sponsors to new racers and sport riders.
